Do I have to pay to bid?▾
No. Bidding on HandyBid is free for every contractor. Pro adds the badge, instant alerts, and ranking boost — it accelerates your win rate, but you can use the platform indefinitely without it.
Does HandyBid take a cut of my bids?▾
No. There is no per-job take rate, no commission, and no payment held in escrow. Homeowners pay you directly per the contract that's generated when they accept your bid. Pro is the only thing we charge contractors.
What if I already pay for Verified or Alerts separately?▾
You're grandfathered — your existing $20/mo subscription keeps working and keeps granting the same benefits. When you upgrade to Pro, cancel the legacy plan in the Stripe billing portal so you don't double-pay.
Can I cancel?▾
Yes — monthly and annual cancel anytime through the Stripe billing portal. You keep access until the end of the billing period you've already paid for. Lifetime is non-refundable but never expires.
What happens when all 500 Founder spots are gone?▾
Lifetime closes permanently. Monthly and annual remain available at the same prices. Anyone who already bought Lifetime keeps it forever; we don't revoke or reissue.
