How Quick Tasks work
- Pick a task + time window. Today afternoon, tomorrow morning, this week — whatever works for you.
- Pay the $9 booking fee at Stripe checkout. This is HandyBid's match fee; the pro's price is separate.
- A qualified local pro claims the booking, usually within an hour. You get an email + in-app alert with their contact info.
- Pro arrives and does the work. You pay them directly (cash, Venmo, check, however you agree).
- Leave a review. Helps the pro rank locally + helps other homeowners pick well.
Cancellation: refund if you cancel before a pro accepts. Once a pro is committed, last-minute cancellations forfeit the booking fee. If no pro accepts within 30 minutes, the fee is automatically refunded.
Bigger or custom projects (full remodels, multi-day jobs, anything where the scope isn't obvious) work better as a regular bid-based job.
